Battle of Grunwald commemorative ceremonies
Minister of National Defence Bogdan Klich, chief of the General Staff LtGen. Mieczysław Cieniuch and head of the Land Forces MajGen Zbigniew Głowienka participated in the 600th anniversary ceremonies of the Battle of Grunwald. Among the guests were as well representatives of the Government, local autohorities and Polish scout organizations.

Baltic Region Training Event VI - BRTE VI
HQ ALLIED COMMAND RAMSTEIN, Germany - Training NATO Forward Air Controllers (FACs), the pilots’ eyes on the ground, will be in the focus at Adazi Military Training Range, Latvia, July 21-22, 2010. The training event for FACs from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania is put together by NATO’s Headquarters Allied Air Command Ramstein (HQ AC Ramstein), and demonstrates mutual support among Allies to hone Air-Land Integration capabilities.

Hillary Clinton laid flowers at the Katyn Cross in Krakow
On 3rd July US. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton paid a one-day long visit to Krakow where she attended International Conference held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Community of Democracies. During the visit Sec. Clinton laid flowers at the Katyn Cross at the Father Gen. Adam Studziński Square.

Liquidation of deadly traps
During one week Polish soldiers found and neutralized almost 20 IEDs. Besides, weapon which was to be received by one of the group of fighters, active in Ghazni province, was taken over.

Polish sapper killed in Afghanistan
On 26th June at about 19.45 (local time) in the southern part of the Ghazni province Polish sapper was killed while demininng an explosive. The soldiers arrived as part of Polish-US QRF and EOD group called for help by the Polish patrol attacked with the use of IED.

New commander-in-chief of The Polish Navy
On Friday, 25th June, Fleet Admiral Tomasz Mathea was nominated as Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Navy. Acting Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski handed act of appointment to Admiral Mathea at the Belvedere.
