Polish MiGs-29 in Albacete

Three MiG-29 fighters and 36 soldiers from 23rd Tactical Aviation Base in Mińsk Mazowiecki for the third time participate in training Tactical Leadership Programme in Albacete, Spain.

For the first time they were in Spanish base Albacete in 2011. Polish pilots hope to perform many flights – they will stay in Albacete for about one month.
 
First technicians with maintenance equipment went to Albacete in four flights of C-130. Next, pilots in two single seat fighters and one MiG-29UB version joined them.
 
Captain pilot Grzegorz Czubski is the commander of the component.
   
In this exercise pilots from Mińsk act as enemy in the air and every day they conduct missions as „Red Forces”. Because Polish aircraft come from former Eastern Block they are a challenge and an attraction for pilots from other countries who can cooperate with this type of aircraft and develop combat tactics in the air.
